The Big 3-0

Thursday, the 15th, marked a big milestone in my life......I turned 30! I couldn't let it get by without noting what a special day my sweet little family made it. I didn't want to forget all the little things that Kevin did to make sure it was a day to remember!
Our day began with the pitter-patter of little feet into our bedroom. Next I heard Chloe "whisper" to Kevin......"Daddy, it's Mommy's birthday today. Let's go and get her some breakfast!" So....I did what any good Mommy would do and pretended to be asleep while they scurried around to find their shoes and jump in the car, jammies and all. After a time, they returned with my favorite breakfast.......
......a bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit from McDonalds and a big ole' sweet tea! They had also gone by Lowe's and gotten me two adirondack chairs that I had been eyeing for our breezeway.
Then, unbeknowst to me, my sweet husband had arranged for several of my friends to meet me for lunch at Three Graces here in Tifton. It was such a nice and peaceful time of fellowship. And I love the chicken salad there.....yummy!

To cap the day off, we were joined by some good friends of ours, the Harris', as we rode to Cordele to have dinner with my parents and grandparents. There, Kevin surprised me (again) with a new lense for our camera. It is a 55-200 zoom lense, and one that we have been wanting for quite some time.

And my parents also brought me a surprise that I have thoroughly enjoyed.......a pair of Costa Del Mar sunglasses! I was so excited! It's been a really, really long time since I've had a pair of nice sunglasses that weren't $10 0r less!

It was a great day and I am so thankful for all of my family. I am looking forward to the next 30 years!
