Pumpkin Carving Time

We got a pumpkin earlier this week and finally had time to carve it last night. Here are some pictures of our lion pumpkin!

1st of Many...

Well, Casey and I have been talking about doing this for some time now, so here we go. This will be the first in an endless list of things that are "Not Only In Tifton, But In Tifton Nonetheless." There have been many things that we have seen, but not had the opportunity to get a picture. We are going to be prepared from here on out.


So, here it is... hard working Americans, probably not in the category of small business owners making over $250,000 a year, but still working hard to make ends meet.


We'll call this first installment... "Who ced educatin is importent!"

Date Night With Daddy

"Date night with daddy" began at Lowes.

We played a little hide-and-seek...

Did some laundry...

And, not wanting to lie to mommy, we decided to take a bath while we were there too. She didn't say we had to take a bath with real water.

After almost an hour of fun at Lowes... we made our way to Chicken-Fay (a.k.a. Chilck-fil-A) to get some "chicken nuggets."

Chloe always looks forward to "Date Night With Daddy," but not near as much as daddy does. We have a great time and always end up with some great stories (and pictures).

Taking a family picture is not what it used to be!

Case in point......here is a "photo journey" of how it went trying to take a family picture after church today......

Attempt #1......Claire turns toward Mommy so you can't see her face
Attempt #2........so everyone is closer to looking at the camera, but with weird faces
Attempt #3.........Chloe turns away from the camera and Daddy is laughing because this is a zoo
Attempt #4............Claire starts screaming and Chloe turns away so we give up

So, after we got home, we settled for this picture of the girls in their matching dresses.....not the greatest picture but it'll do. To all of our family who is anxious to see a new family picture.......now you know why you haven't seen one yet.....it's IMPOSSIBLE! :)

"Gettin' My Milk"

This is a video of Chloe from the other night. She has my hand pump and is "gettin' her milk" like she saw Mommy do, I guess! It's such accountability to have a toddler living with you that mimics and repeats everything you do. She constantly amazes us with how observant she is and how much she picks up on.........so sweet!

It's official....I'm a geek!

So, I don't just drive a minivan......I now drive a minivan with a stick family on the back of it! Although it makes me an official geek, you have to admit that they are cute and charming! :)

She finally did it.........

Well, I've been waiting for about 5 weeks now on Chloe to nurse her baby dolls and tonight she finally did.......it was PRICELESS! I have to give some explanation and say that she plays with her baby dolls all of the time. She changes their diapers, takes them to Wal-Mart, puts them down to sleep, sings to them......you get the picture. So tonight, while I was giving Claire a bath, Chloe put her baby up to her chest and said that she was "givin' her some milk"......then she shifted the baby to the other side of her chest and said "other side milk"..........she has it all figured out! Then she burped her baby and was all done!

5 weeks old.....

I can't believe it......Claire is already 5 weeks old! It has gone by so quickly. I feel like that we have finally settled into our normal routine again. Claire is such a joy....such a sweet baby. She's a good sleeper and has a very sweet disposition. I had forgotten how much of a difference a day makes in the development of a newborn. Each day makes her more alert and aware of her surroundings. I look forward to the next few months as she continues to change and grow! In these pictures, she's hanging out on the floor propped up in the Boppy pillow......how can you resist that sweet face and those cheeks! They make me smile!

Chloe's Turning Two!!

All of our family came to our house last Saturday to celebrate Chloe's 2nd Birthday! We had a Curious George birthday party and had so much fun! Everyone came in time for lunch and Daddy grilled hamburgers for everyone. After lunch, we had cake and ice cream and Chloe opened all of her presents! She had so much fun and we were so happy to have everyone here to celebrate! Chloe will turn 2 on Thursday (Oct 16th).........I can't believe it's been 2 years already!

Nuk Pacifiers

Okay, so you know how most parenting and baby magazines have their "Favorite Baby Product Awards" once a year? Well, this is my own version.....Kilgore Family Favorites! Today, I will only feature one particular item. However, I plan to continue this series in the future. Today, I'm paying tribute to Nuk pacifiers.........life at our house wouldn't be the same without them!

Some "firsts" for Claire.....

I wanted to add some recent pictures, because Claire had a couple of "firsts" last week. We went to church last Sunday for the first time. It was so wonderful to be back among our body of believers who we love so much. It was a refreshing trip for Mommy! The second group of pictures is of Claire's first real bath. Her cord fell off so Mommy and her best helper, Chloe, gave Claire a bath one morning. Claire seemed to like it okay.........she really likes being warm and close to body heat so the whole idea of stripping her and putting her in water isn't top of her list quite yet!
