The last week of April, we headed to Hilton Head to meet Kevin's parents for the week. To say that we were excited doesn't quite cut it! Kevin and I felt like it had been forever since we had been out of Tifton for that long of a vacation. The week was a huge blessing......so relaxing and filled with lots of family time.
Often times, vacations are fun for me.....but not always relaxing. Although we leave our normal lives and routines, the kids still have to be fed, bathed, put to bed, picked up after, entertained.....you get the picture. Usually, we have family with us and so the extra hands aid in my processes. While we were in Hilton Head, my sweet husband took extra measures to make sure I had some down time.....some time to really relax. He got up with the girls every morning and let me sleep a little more. He took them for bike rides and down to play golf by the grills. He made me feel like I had been on vacation......and for that I was so very thankful!
Here are a few pictures from our first full day there (Monday). We spent lots of time that day on the beach and at the pool. Then, we ended our day at one of our favorite island restaurants....The Sea Shack.
Getting ready to head out....
This has ended up being one of my favorite pictures from our trip......I could kiss those sweet cheeks all day!
