Seacrest Beach - September 2009

The last weekend in September, we met my mom and dad (better known as Reesie and Papa around our house) at Seacrest Beach in Florida. We had so much fun, even though it was a quick trip! To say that this time was rejuvenating for me is an understatement. I spent a whole day on the beach.....part of it with my favorite people and the other part with just me and my mom. We were both tired , but I just couldn't let myself sleep because it seems that I never get to have uninterrupted conversation with my mom anymore. I really enjoyed sitting out on the beach with her and talking...not about anything profound, just spending time together!

I can't end this post without sharing with you all a little bit about Friday morning. We got there Thursday night in time to have a late dinner and then go to the condo. Chloe was SO excited about being at the beach and had been talking about it all week. We got her bed all set up and Kevin jokingly told her, "When you wake up, you go see Reesie and Papa." We laughed and she went to sleep. Friday morning, Claire woke up a little before 7am and I went to check on Chloe (she was in another room). She wasn't in her bed, so I went to the master bedroom. There I found her, perched in the middle of Reesie and Papa's bed just a talking! Apparently, she had been up since 5:30am ready to see the beach! She was so excited that she sat in their bed and talked and talked and talked! Needless to say, Kevin laughed really hard! And whether or not they would admit it, I think Reesie and Papa enjoyed their early morning chat with Chloe!
