Well, I know that it is assumed that this little blog is supposed to be all about Chloe, but I just felt that I needed to add my two cents.
Those of you who live in South Georgia know exactly what you are looking at. Those of you who have not traveled below the "Gnat Line," around Macon, GA can just realize that this is something that you are blessed to be without.
Those of you who are familiar with Scripture, will know that gnats were one of the plagues as described in Exodus 8, where it says,
"Then the Lord said to Moses, 'Tell Aaron "Stretch out your staff and strike the dust of the ground," and throughout the land of Egypt the dust will become gnats.' They did this, and when Aaron stretched out his hand with the staff and struck the dust of the ground, gnats came upon men and animals. All the dust throughout the land of Egypt became gnats."
Okay, so let me get this right. God sent gnats as a plague and they are still all over the place in South Georgia. I know that other plagues also have a remnant here on earth, but the locust and grasshoppers don't bother me when I am trying to enjoy myself outside.
What to do? Well, the locals (my in-laws) tell me that you can tell who is from here by the fact that they can just simply blow out of the side of their mouth and poof, the gnats are gone. Maybe you need to watch the video again, but there would have to be air coming out of a whole lot of other places than just my mouth to get rid of the swarm of gnats that I was dealing with while mowing my grass. I would have to blow out my eyes, ears, neck, nose, and mouth to distract this malicious plague that has found it's home in South Georgia.
I know that many believe that this is the promised land, but you will never convince me fully of this until you can get rid of this pestiferous little creature.

Ooooh! I just found your blog from Kevin and Heather's! I'm excited to be able to keep up with you guys... although Beth keeps me somewhat informed. :)
okay, kevin has got to post more. this is hilarious. is the noise in the background from the gnats or is that the lawn mower?
we love the video, kevins expressions are priceless.
"Is the noise in the background the gnats??" LOL...now that's some funny stuff. We locals just assume that everyone knows what these little annoying beasts are. Hang in there, the first cold snap and they'll be gone. :)
Ok...that was funny! Now I want to know who was taping? You kept quite a straight face the entire time. I have to admit...it was creeping me out...like I wanted to come and swat them off your ear specifically! Loved the blog!
