Casey and I just saw this movie for the second time. We saw it at the Southern Baptist Convention in Indianapolis the first time and took our pastor and his wife to see it tonight. When we saw it the first time, we just knew that this could be a great platform to strengthen marriages. We took our pastor and he was also convinced. We are in the process of planning a marriage emphasis that will be in conjuntion with the release of this movie.
If this movie is anywhere near where you live, I would encourage you to go see it as soon as it is relased on September 26. The church in Albany that produced this movie has done a great job and I am convinced that God is going to use this movie in a mighty way. Check out the site and if you are a part of a church, pass this along to your pastor or a member of the staff. It is not very often that a movie hits the big screen that is as solid as this. You won't want to misss it.
Sorry my second post wasn't as humerous as the first, but this one is pretty serious. If you have a strong marriage, struggling marriage, or one that's somewhere inbeween this movie will speak to you and those in your sphere of influence.

I am so excited to know you guys have a blog! I had emailed Beth about Erlene's b-day party and she gave me the address!!! I can't believe how far along you are. I had lost track of time. I'm so sad you won't be joining us in Shipshewana but so excited about Claire joining the family. That was almost Grace Elizabeth's name isn't that funny? Down to the wire with that decision. I'm commenting on the Fireproof blog b/c I saw it at the SmartMarriages conference this year in SanFrancisco. That same conference you guys rescued me from in Atlanta when we were both pregnant before! I LOVED this movie and if we didn't have another event already being planned for that opening night we would be trying to bring it to Jackson. I talked to the people at Fireproof and we are going to buy it and show it at an event in the winter when it comes out on DVD using the book as well. I laughed and cried- I was so excited about it I've told everyone I know. So, Marriage Matters Jackson will be showing it soon to strengthen the marriages here. Doesn't hurt I had the HUGEST crush on Kirk Cameron as a kid. Check out my blog sometime I don't update as much as I should. I'm new at it. www.shelbyraines.blogspot.com Love to you all and blessings for Claire's delivery. Love, Shelby
