Chloe's Birthday Celebration

Not long ago, Chloe asked Kevin if she was going to get a balloon and doughnuts for her birthday like Mommy did. So, her sweet Daddy got up before 7am and headed out to town to find Chloe a birthday balloon and get some doughnuts from MiLady Bakery. When Chloe woke up, Daddy was gone to get her surprise! She was so excited and felt so special! We even put candles in her chocolate-covered doughnut and sang "Happy Birthday" to her!

The picture below is for MeriBeth......can you guess which part of the doughnut is Chloe's favorite? Chloe had finished the top two pieces and was still working on the bottom one!

Earlier in the week, Chloe had also asked to go to Chick-Fil-A.....so I promised her that we could have lunch there on her birthday. Chicken nuggets, fries, and ice cream made up the second part of Chloe's birthday celebration. A special part of lunch was that Grandma and Grandpa got here just in time to join us!

That morning, Chloe and Daddy made pizza dough and we had yummy pizza for dinner. Chloe ordered a sausage and cheese pizza for her birthday dinner!

After dinner, we let her open her present from Mommy, Daddy, and Claire........a box of princess dress-up clothes! Here she is showing them off....

The last part of Chloe's birthday celebration was on Saturday morning.....a princess party! We had worked and worked in the yard to get things looking good for the fall and so we could have the party outside. Turned out that "Old Man Winter" blew in for a few days and it was 48 degrees on Saturday morning!!! Needless to say, we moved the party inside! After presents, cake, and a little play, our family stayed around and Kevin grilled hamburgers for lunch! All in all, it was a GREAT day! Here are the pictures from Saturday.....there were too many to choose from!

Happy Birthday Chloe!

On Friday, we celebrated Chloe's third birthday! I can't believe that she's 3 years old! Chloe has grown up so quickly. She is such a joy to be around. Because of her, I am daily challenged to be a better example of God's love and to teach my children about Jesus and what He did for us on the cross. She makes me smile and laugh! She is so creative and amazes us with the words and phrases that come out of her mouth. She is very observant and takes in everything around her. She doesn't want to miss anything and doesn't want her sister to either! I love this little one more than life itself! Thank you, Chloe, for making me a mommy.....there's no other feeling in the world like it!
